However, it is open today for all to enjoy its sumptuous interior and its expansive gardens, lake house, and maze. The palace entry ticket with audio guide worth £38 per person is also included in your ticket price. These tours are only offered as private group tours max 2-4 persons.

Your guided tour, which will highlight the history of the palace and the Marlborough family, will take place while walking through the gardens and grounds plus part of the palace.

Enjoy free time to further explore the palace exhibition spaces and garden. Visit other parts of the palace and gardens on your own or enjoy a meal at the palace gardens café or interior restaurant. Scheduled start times can be revised provided you make such a request known when you book.

Tour with Transport from Oxford

• Your guide will meet you in Oxford to take you on the public bus to Woodstock, where the palace is located. It can take up to one hour to get to the palace. The tour will then last up to 90 minutes.

Meet your guide wearing a red lanyard outside the Oxford Tourist Info centre, 15 Broad Street, Oxford. You should also see a red sign board on the street outside. The meeting point is located next door to the Oxfam shop.

Please note that from mid November to the end of December, the palace has a Christmas themed exhibit which may disrupt viewing some of the palace exhibits.
